On Sept. 7, 2025, the Rochester Post Bulletin profiled Julie Clennon, an activities director at a Rochester senior living community and our latest “Care Extraordinaire.” With 24 years in long-term care, Julie brings both energy and heart, treating each resident as an individual—listening, laughing, and leading with love.
From bean bags on the patio and poker nights to nail care and her “You Be the Judge” sessions, Julie keeps minds sharp and spirits high. She even brings her dog, Miaa, for comfort. Residents say, “She is always there for us. We are one big family.” When a new resident wouldn’t leave his room, Julie patiently encouraged him—never pushing—until he became one of the most social members of the community.
