Today, a Times investigation finds that nursing homes across the U.S. are diagnosing and treating their elderly residents for schizophrenia at alarmingly high rates, even when there’s no evidence of the illness.
I spoke to my colleague Katie Thomas about the government loophole that allowed it to happen.
