Misti’s firm, Okerlund Law LLC, provides legal services to Minnesotans with disabilities and their families.  She is passionate about advocating for the human rights of Minnesotans with disabilities and other vulnerable adults in our great state.
One of Misti’s focuses includes improving protections for Minnesota’s vulnerable adults and their families against retaliation, making it safer for them to self-advocate and participate in the legal process.  Other concerns that Misti has include the lack of investigations of abuse and neglect of Minnesota’s vulnerable adults, and the lack of financial transparency on how service providers are spending tax dollars intended to provide direct care to Minnesota’s vulnerable adults.
