Opposition to SF 745, Immunity for Long-Term Care Providers
2021
Elder Voice Advocates opposes SF 745, which would grant immunity to long-term care (LTC) providers and other health care providers and professionals. While, many good facilities have met the pandemic challenge and are giving good care, there are others who choose not to follow the federal and MN Department of Health (MDH) guidelines.
We encourage you to reach out to your elected officials.
Support for Essential Workers Emergency Leave Act
2021
Elder Voice Advocates (Elder Voice) strongly supports HF 41, the Essential Workers Emergency Leave Act. These workers are protecting and caring for our loved ones in long-term care (LTC) facilities. The demands on these essential workers during this pandemic are enormous. We must give them the support needed to keep them protected and able to work in LTC. This can be accomplished, in part, by meeting their personal health needs with paid sick leave.
