Nurse Empathy

Empathy is a powerful healer and nurses are the leaders in encouraging this practice throughout the organization.

Presented by experts and Elder Voice Advocates Board Members Dr. Eilon Caspi of the Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy at the University of Connecticut and Nancy Haugen, RN, MS PHN.

Joining our panel is Bob Savage, an educator, advocate and founder of Dementia Peer Coalition who is living with dementia.

Eilon Caspi PhD is a Gerontologist and dementia behavior specialist. He currently works as an Assistant Research Professor at University of Connecticut.

Nancy Haugen is a Registered Nurse and RN Public Health Nurse in Minnesota. For more than 25 years Nancy has provided nursing leadership to multiple teams composed of Public Health Nurses, Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel.​
